The Village Panchayat of Reis-Magos, is situated in the Bardez Taluka of North Goa District. It has a population of 11000 approximately. The Panchayat consists of 11 wards and has 11 elected representatives. (Male 07, Female 04) and there are 67 households of SC/ST community.
We have two Panchayat building one is Verem which is main Panchayat Ghar and other at Betim which will avail various facilities.
The Panchayat has primary, secondary schools & Higher Secondary School. There are 06 AWC. It has one spring and one Reis-Magos Fort. There is one beach known as”Kegdevelim beach”. There is one Sub Health Centre which is exiting in the Panchayat Betim Unit. The distance between Goa Medical College i. e. main hospital is 12 kms.
The major source of income for the Panchayat is the house tax, commercial tax, Garbage tax and other taxes, fees, grants-in-aid and other Govt. grants.
